Finding county style bedding for Cal king beds can be a challenge. For years we recommended the luxury king quilts by VHC Brands to our customers with Cal king beds, but we're happy to announce that VHC has recently introduced several even larger quilts designed specifically for California king beds. Please keep in mind that all of the quilts listed on this page are quite large. We often have customers that make returns because these quilts are too large! Please take a few moments to measure your bed just to make sure you really need something this big. A standard California King mattress is going to be 72" wide x 84" long. The other factor to consider is mattress depth and bed height as this will determine how the quit will hang on your particular bed. To determine how far the quilt is going to hang on each side take the overall quilt measurement and subtract the total width of your mattress. So assuming your mattress is a standard Cal king it would be 72" from side to side. Let's use the Cornflower bedspread quilt as an example to calculate drop length-
Quilt width 120" minus mattress with 72" equals 48" overhang. Divide that by 2 sides and you get 24" overhang on each side. Do the same with the length dimension and you should have a good idea of how a particular quilt will hang on your bed.
