Happy First Day of Spring! March 20th marks the first official day of Spring 2016.
If spring seems early this year, you're exactly right. According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, this is the earliest spring in our lifetime so far. In honor of this glorious season of rebirth and renewal, here are a few of our favorite spring quotes.
See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.
~ Song of Solomon 2: 11-12
No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn.
No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. ~Old Proverb
If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall.
It’s spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you’ve got it, you want — oh, you don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!
Expect to have your hope rekindled. Expect your prayers to be answered in wondrous ways. The dry seasons in life do not last. The spring rains will come again.
~ Sarah Ban Breathnach
If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.
~ Anne Bradstreet
Some old-fashioned things like fresh air and sunshine are hard to beat.
